How Many Animals Can You Board?
I only take ONE family of pets at a time and can take:
Â
a max of four cats
or
one - two small/medium sized dogs
or
one large(ish) dog
or
a pick-n-mix of cats & dogs
I am licensed for a maximum of 4 cats and 2 dogs at any one time (same family only).
What About Vaccinations And Microchipping?
All cats and dogs must be up to date with flea, tick and worming treatments before boarding.
Â
Due to an update in legislation - even though I only board one family at a time - since July 2023 I am no longer able to board pets who are not vaccinated.
Â
Vaccination information should be provided at time of booking but no later than date of check-in to comply with new legislation and licence conditions.
Your DOG should be vaccinated against these big nasty things:
Canine parvovirus
Canine distemper virus
Leptospirosis
Infectious canine hepatitis
Kennel cough is strongly advised as it can cause much discomfort to our canine friends.
Your CAT should be vaccinated against these big nasty things:
Feline infectious enteritis
Feline herpes virus
Feline calicivirus
Feline leukaemia virus
MICROCHIPPING
All dogs must be microchipped. This became compulsory in April 2016.

Should I Have My Pet Insured For Boarding?
Lack of insurance will not stop Raw's Paws from boarding your pet. Part of the agreement you will sign states that you will take full responsibility for any vet fees or financial liabilities due to behaviour based incidents or accidents incurred during home boarding. The agreement also states you will take responsibility for any damage caused by your pet.
Â
Unexpected vet bills can amount to small fortunes if you are not insured. If your pet is already covered, please inform your insurance company that your pet is home boarding with Raw's Paws.
Â
Copies of our insurances are available on request.
