What Happens If My Pet Has An Accident Or Is Taken Ill?
Don't panic.
I am trained in Canine and Feline First Aid and have first aid kits in my home and in my car.
I will endeavour to take your pet to its own vet but if this is not possible, your pet will be taken to my local emergency vet. Any costs incurred will be payable by you directly to the vet.
I will contact you and/or your emergency contact as soon as possible to discuss events and what, if any, treatment was/is required and to organise payment to the vet.
Vet trips are charged at £20 per 30 minutes.
Why The Need For An Emergency Contact?
If you have read some of the other FAQs, you'll realise how important your emergency contact is for Raw's Paws, and you.
If I cannot reach you, I will turn to your emergency contact. They will also come in handy if you are going to be late picking up your pet, for whatever reason.
Your emergency contact(s) must be fully aware of their role(s) and be happy to pick up your pet and care for it until your return, should they be required.
